Molality is the number of moles of solute present in 1 kg of solvent, whereas molarity is the number of moles of solute dissolved in 1 litre of a solution. Molality is independent of temperature, whereas molarity depends on temperature.

Molarity is the number of moles of a solute dissolved per liter of solution

And Molality is number of moles of a solute per kilogram of the solvent, not solution.

Molarity is represented by grams per liter ( g/l) of solution
While molality is represented by
(g/kg )of solvent.
