Copper oxide was prepared by two different methods. In one case 2.75 grams of metal gave 3.9 gram of oxide. In second case 1.14 gram if metal give 1.33 gram of oxide. Show that the given data illustrates the law of constant proportions.

In the first method Cu : O (1.75 : 2.19) = 0.79

In the second method Cu : O (1.14 : 1.43)= 0.79

By observing these two methods we came to know that it follows law of constant proportion as the ratio of both Cu and O in copper oxide are same.
